I’m a natural light, documentary style photographer, which means I capture the moments that a casual observer may miss; glassy eyes, scrunched handkerchiefs, nervous laughter.  I come from a fine art background, and my photographs are influenced and reflect this. I want to make sure that you’re comfortable on your big day, so my job is to be as unobtrusive as possible.

How does it work?

If you’re after creative, unique and affordable wedding photography, you’ve come to the right place! I like to choose my clients as carefully as you choose a photographer, I want to make sure that we’re sympatico and that you will be happy with the final product.
I’ve planned a wedding before, so I know photography isn’t your only priority. I want to make it as easy as possible for you.  If you like my work but have a budget that you need to stick to, just let me know!
Contact me here for more details about packages and pricing. I’ll ask a few questions about you, your partner, your style and your budget.

Where are you based?

Originally a Sydneysider, I’m currently based in Melbourne, but I regularly work in both locations. I also love to travel and take advantage of the beautiful scenery from Daylesford to Dandenong, Williamstown to Wollongong, the Hunter Valley and Yarra Valley.

I’m also available for destination weddings. Did I mention I absolutely love to travel?

What do I get?

All bookings receive edited high-resolution images for printing and low-resolution images for facebook, emailing to friends etc.  As a guide, you can expect to receive 300+images.

I can tailor specific packages and have a great array of suppliers for prints and albums. I can also help design thank you cards to send out to your guests.

What cameras do you use?

Don’t worry, I use only the best Canon equipment and have backup camera bodies, lenses and batteries.  I also have my trusty assistant (and lovely husband) along to each wedding as a second shooter to capture a different perspective.

Can you make us look like Brangelina?

The best way to look good in your wedding photos is to relax and trust me.  You’ve picked your best suit and dream dress, your besties are dressed to the nines, and you’ve spent hours doing your hair and make-up.

It’s best to build in enough time for photos in your schedule. Normally that means about an hour and a half for family, bridal party and portraits.

Here’s the best part – you just get to do your thing, have fun, and the photos will look great!

First look anyone?

Some people prefer to do first look, which means you get to see each other before the ceremony and get some of the photos out of the way. Personally, I love first looks!

Depending on your style and schedule, it’s a really amazing way to spend your day.

I HATE posing.

Who doesn’t! Being a documentary style photographer, I shoot mainly candid moments as they occur, so you get to avoid awkward poses, like pretending to sign the marriage certificate.

There will be some portraits with your bridal party and new wife/hubby, but we can make sure they’re as fun and comfortable as possible.

BAH I’m too excited, when do I get my photos!!???

I’m excited too!! That’s why I’m most likely hunched over my MacBook editing your images. You can expect your images in the mail in 4-6weeks. But I always like to provide you with a sneak peek or two along the way.

Do you only shoot weddings?

Nope! I also love to shoot couples, engagement shoots, elopements, commitment ceremonies, vowel renewals….pretty much any loved up couples!

For local clients, if you book your wedding with me, then I’m happy to offer you an engagement session free of charge.

I really like this style of photography, can you do something like this?

Probably, if you have examples you really like feel free to show me. If I dig the style then I’m more than happy to make sure you get what you’re looking for.

Unless you’re after really traditional, boring and over-saturated photos…then keep on googling.
